Research methodology
How provider information is collected, labeled, reviewed, ranked, and refreshed.
Collection
We separate official records, provider-published material, provider-reported submissions, independently checked facts, and editorial analysis. Automated extraction creates proposals with source evidence; it never publishes directly.
- Every material field should retain a source URL and observation date.
- Vague marketing language is not converted into an editorial fact.
- License, state coverage, clinician identity, and pharmacy disclosures are checked independently and can have different review dates.
Ranking
Organic ordering may use completeness, freshness, identity checks, state coverage, and the visitor’s selected filters. Payment cannot change verification status or create a clinical-quality score.
- Sponsored placements are labeled.
- Users can choose independent sort orders.
- We do not call paid providers ‘best’.
Human review
Editors review the proposed value beside its current value and evidence. Approval records a decision and audit event; applying a public change remains a separate controlled action.
Last operational review: July 15, 2026. Contact information will be added before public launch.
